5 Best Local Gatlinburg Restaurants

Gatlinburg has restaurants everywhere! Whether you are just there for the day, the weekend or a week, you have to eat! How do you choose? I have rounded up the top 5 best Gatlinburg Restaurants. They are all local and so good!

Howards Steakhouse

Gatlinburg Restaurants

Howards Steakhouse is located just beside LeConte Creek on the Parkway. This iconic restaurant has been a must-do since 1946. Boasting a mouthwatering menu, this Gatlinburg restaurant is best known for their steaks, but we haven’t found a thing on the menu we didn’t like. Tip: Ask for seating with a view of the creek!

The Peddler

We vote The Peddler as the best Gatlinburg restaurant for date night! The Peddler is located one block off the Parkway, just before the entrance to the National Park. Known for their extensive salad bar and fresh, naturally aged, steaks, it’s a meal you can’t pass up! Tip: The restaurant stays busy so use their call ahead feature!

The Park Grill

The Park Grill is actually owned by the same company as the Peddler and boasts the same amazing salad bar. Located on the Parkway, it is just before the entrance to the National Park. The atmosphere is like being in a comfy mountain lodge and the food is best described as Southern Appalachia. Tip: Has private and semi-private dining for large groups.

Pancake Pantry

Located in the Village, Pancake Pantry has been a local tradition since it opened as Tennessee’s first pancake house in 1960. On any given morning you will find a line of people waiting to eat the fresh, made from scratch, pancakes and other breakfast, brunch or lunch items. While anyone in your party will find something great to eat, Pancake Pantry is a fun Gatlinburg Restaurant for kids. Here kids can choose from chocolate chip pancakes, M&M pancakes (with peanut butter syrup) and other fun concoctions! Tip: Get here early and expect to wait in line outside. It’s worth it though! I promise!

Cliff Top at Anakeesta

The View from Cliff Top!

If you want an amazing view served with your meal, Ciff Top is the place to go. Located high above Gatlinburg, on Anakeesta mountain, Cliff Top offers amazing food and amazing sweeping views. I highly suggest the bucket-o-chips! The only way to Cliff Top is by chondola located on the Parkway, but included in your ticket is shopping, amazing gardens and the tree canopy walk. Tip: Eat dinner at sunset! It will be the best view around!

Bucket-O-Chips
